ADVENTUROUS YOUTHS.

POLICE COLD DOUCHJ By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, Feb. 15. Two youths the eldest 22 years old, had an adventure cut short by the interposition of the police. They proposed to proceed to the Kermadecs in the yacht Mizpah, which the elder boy claimed to have purchased. He had by the aid of a cheque book obtained a large quantity of stores and provisions, which had been sent to the wharf and placed in the care of a watchman, whom they z paid 5s per hour. Detectives relieved the watchman of his duty and at present the youths stand charged wi’h having uttered a cheque by means of which benzine and oil was obtained.
