There is intense indignation in Lancashire against Sinn Feiners, and cotton operatives are organising a movement to refuse to work with Irishmen. The country ,is being scoured for suspects in connection with the recent cases, of arson, of whom the police have issued a description. Several Irishmen are in custody. The police believe that the plot was hatched in Ireland, and is not due to the Liverpool Irish Sinn Fein. As a result of their trial at Liverpool, Kerr and McCaughley, laborers, were found guilty of conspiracy to the murder of police and setting fire to warehouses and timber yards in Liverpool and Bootle last November, and they were sentenced to ten years’ penal servitude. Fowler was found guilty of conspiracy in the firing of warehouses, and he was sentenced to two years.— Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. TERRORISING EX-SOLDIERS. NOT ALLOWED TO TAKE UP LAND. Received Feb. 15, 55 p.m. London. Feb. 14. Sinn Feiners have instituted a campaign of terrorism against ex-service men. They informed twenty-five exservice men that if they persist in settling on the land they will be tried by a Sinn court and shot. In consequence of a blockade of Western Kerry, the stationmaster on the Tralee-Dingle line reports that supplies ire exhausted, and women and children ire on the verge of starvation.
