PROPOSALS FOR PAYMENT. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright, Received Feb. 13, 5.5 p.m. Paris, Feb. *l2. M. Loucheur informed the Senate committee on the liberated regions that the Government rejects -the idea of paying the indemnity in manufactured goods. An Allied committee of experts determining the amount payable in cash and kind had suggested twentyfive per cent in cash and seventy-five per cent in‘kind, such as wood, coal, and nitrates.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. GERMAN WORKERS’ HELP. AN HOUR’S WORK DAILY. London, Feb. 11. The Yorkshire Observer states that it is reported that twenty million German workers of all trades have decided to contribute the proceeds on one hour s work daily towards reparation payments. COST TO GERMAN WORKERS. Received Feb. 13, 11.5 p.m. Berlin, Feb. 12. Professor Schucking, writing in the Tagleblatt, estimates that reparations will cost every worker six thousand marks annually from his average earnings of fifteen thousand marks.—Aus.N.Z. Cable Assn.
