The latest election figures are:—South African tarty 72 Nationalist 40 Labor 9 Independent 1 The. gains are : South African Party 18, Labor 3, Nationalists 6. Only 10 results are outstanding. A feature Of the polling has been the turnover in the Cape Province In favor of General Smuts. London, Feb. 10. The Capetown correspondent of The Times says that a great peril has passed and stable government assured for some years. It is a striking vote of confidence in General Smuts and an equally striking condemnation of the Labor leaders, who signally failed to guage public opinion.
