To the 'current issue of the Nineteenth Century Mr. Everard Cotes has contributed an article on the Australian land New Zealand tour of the Prince of Wales, in which he refers to Mr. Massey as “that embodiment of kindly good sense and unquenchable spirit, whom this Dominion is so fortunate as to have as Prime Minister.” The settlement by him of the threatened strike ’afforded interesting proof, not only of the confidence inspired by Mr. Massey himself, but also of the' reasonableness of the I attitude of Labour in this part of the i. world."
