GAOL FOR SINN FEINERS. JEWELLER’S SHOP LOOTED. By Telegraph.—Press Assn Copyright. Received Feb. 10, 8.10 p.m. London, Feb. 9. The Sinn Feiner McGinn was sentenced to ten years’ penal servitude, and the Sinn Feiners MacErlane, Clark and Doherty to eight years, for wounding a policeman at Bothwell. Armed men held the approaches to Wellington Quay, Dublin, while eight men looted a jeweller’s shop of £3OOO worth of goods. Joseph Jordon, a rate collector, of Ballagaderron, who was kidnapped three months ago, and who claimed £lO,OOO as compensation, was awarded £3210, on the ground of personal injuries and damage to his furniture. His captors forced him to sign cheques for £7OO and £BOO, which were cashed.— Aus. and N.Z. Cable Assn. SHOT WHILE IN BED. Received Feb. 10, 8.10 p.m. London, Feb, 9. Armed men at Droheda took Alexander Halpin and John Moran from their beds and, shot them outside their house. The bodies will be taken, to the military barracks, where an inquiry will be held.
