EXPORT OF PRODUCE.
KUMARA’S VALUABLE CARGO. WORTH ABOUT £241,500. A cargo of dairy produce and frozen meat valued at close on a quarter of a million sterling- will be taken by the liner Kumara, which is scheduled to sail from New Plymouth to-morrow for London, via coastal ports and Wellington. The approximate value of these consignment" from Taranaki works is £241,500, and the shippers are various dairy factories through the Taranaki Producers’ Company, the Taranaki Farmers’ Meat Company, Smart Road, and Messrs. Borthwick and Son, Waitara. The complete details of the cargo were published yesterday morning. With the cargo taken by the Wangaratta last month, valued at £98,500, the grand total of the exports by direct vessels from New Plymouth this year is approximately £340,000.
