DAIRY PRODUCE.
LARGE ADVANCE OVER LAST YEAR. A return prepared by Messrs. J. B. Mac Ewan and Co., showing the quartities of butter and cheese received into the grading stores for the first six months of the present season, as compared with the corresponding period of last year, makes pleasant reading. The quantity of butter increased by over 10,000 tons, the increase in value being £4,136,938; while cheese shows an increase of 2073 tons, and an increase in value of .£1,244,691.
