CHASE AFTER ARMS. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Constantinople, Feb. 4. A French gunboat chased the Turkish tug Aelmdor, which fled from Constantinople with arms and ammunition for the Kemalists. One Turk was killed and two wounded. CLAIMS SENT TO CONFERENCE. Constantinople, Feb, 3. According to the Press, Turkey is submitting the following claims at the London Conference: —Abrogation of privileges accorded Greeks in the Smyrna region by the Treaty of Sevres; autonomy of Thrace based on the principle of nationality; maintenance under Turkish sovereignty of Turkish territories ceded to Armenia by the Treaty of Sevres; modification of the economic clauses affecting the sovereignty and independence of Turkey; and modification of military clauses in order to enable Turkey to possess an army sufficient for defence.—Reuter.
