SATURDAY COMPETITION NEW PLYMOUTH SOUTH v. OLD BOYS. At the Recreation Ground on Saturday play was resumed in an unfinished match between New Plymouth South ail'd Old Boys, which had been partly played in December. New Plymouth bad declared their first Innings with four wlfkets down for 264, and Old Boys had qjade 193 for six wickets. On the resumption of the game Old Boys carried their first innings to 208. New Plymouth South made 135 in their second strike, Heskett being respo'nsible for 89. Old Boys secured 62 for eight wickets, leaving New Plymouth the winners by 179 runs.
