ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
A SEAMAN’S SUICIDE. By Telegraph,-rPreas Association. Feb. 4. The adjourned iqquest on Harry Magnusson whose dead body was found in the harbor, was held to-day. The coroner entered up a verdict of suicide by drowning during a fit of temporary depression caused by the refusal of the authorities to grant the deceased a permit to go to sea a seaman. The coroner said it could not be said that the authorities were in way to blame for the refusal, as they were merely carrying out the regulations in the interest of the public. Deceased’s record was such that it was deemed inadvisable to grant him a permit.
