MANUFACTURE OF PAPER. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Perth, Feb. 4. PAY OF WATERSIDERS. Melbourne, Feb. 4. Shipowners have acceded to the request by the Waterside Workers’ Federation for a further conference respecting the new log. The owners previously offered 25s a day; the men rejected this, but are now reconsidering it. THE BLOWFLY PEST. Sydney, Feb. 4. Reports from the sheep districts show that the blowfly pest this year is spread over a wider area than previously, and is found much further north.
