DEMPSEY AND OARPENTIER. MAY MEET THIS YEAR. By Telegraph.—Press Assn —Copyright. Received Feb. 5. 12.5 a.m. New York, Feb. 3. According to the best information obtainable amidst conflicting reports and statements and assertions by various interested parties, Mr. Rickard will probably promote a Dempsey-Carpentier fight alone some time prior to September 6, and if Dempsey is successful he will meet Willard on September C. There is no mention being made of huge parses. Mr. Rickard is anxious to hold tlie bout in New Y»rk, where a recent ruling of the boxing commission makes fifteen dollars the highest admission fee. Mr. Rickard is planning to offer boxers only a percentage of the receipts. —Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
