gVEBY COUNTRY SUFFERS. SERIOUS CONDITIONS IN AMERICA. By Telegraph.—Preas Assn.—Copyright. Received Feb. 3, 5.5 p.m. London, Feb. 2. That the housing dilemma applies not only to Britain is revealed in a world survey issued by the Housing Department of the Health Ministry, which states that Canada’s shortage is 50,000, Switzerland’s 35,000, and Norway’s 20,000. Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa, are also affected, but not to the same extent. Italy. Sweden, and Holland have taken national action to meet the shortage. In the United States a shortage of two million dwellings has produced a serious situation, espeeally in New York.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
