Received Feb. 3, 7.20 p.m. Sydney, Feb. 3. The anti-profiteering campaign under the recently passed Bill is being actively pushed, and a number of traders are being prosecuted for over-charging. Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, in a final interview, said that, while generally appreciative of things Australian, he thought the postal service bad, and the telegraphic service shocking. The Post-master-General, in reply, admits that the postal business is unsatisfactory, while the telegraphic business between Svdney and Melbourne has outgrown the existing facilities, but the new line is being constructed, and other remedial measures are being taken.
