THE ARBITRATION COURT.

STATUS OF THE PRESIDENT. By ’rriegraph—Press Association Wellington, Last Night. The Attorney-General states that there appears to be some misapprehension as to the position of Mr. Justice Frazer, who has been appointed Judge of the Arbitration Court, some paragraphs having appeared suggesting that the Government imposed conditions in the case of the present Judge, rendering the position he holds in some respects inferior to the position of his predecessors. This is not the case. The Government has neither the power nor the desire to impose any such conditions on his Honor Mr. Justice Frazer, who has all the rank, privileges and immunities of a Judge of the Supreme Court.
