J. iSir Arthur Goldfinch (Director of Raw Material) explained to the Colonial Wool-merchants’ Association the proposals of the Realisation Association regarding the disposal of the old and the new clips. There was a long discussion and some outspoken criticism, but the opinion was generally expressed that it was desirable that merchants should aid the Realisation Association in the direction of stabilizing value*, though not in holding values up.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. THE SYDNEY SALES. Received Feb. '2, 9.15 p.m. Sydney, Feb. 2. The wool sales were continued. There were some attractive offerings and others showing effects of the drought.
