INDIAN RIOTS.
UNREST OVER LAND MATTERS. By Telegraph.— Assn.—Copyright Delhi, Feb. 1. Serious riots have been renewed at Fyzabad. The crowd attacked a train supposed to contain an arrested agitator. The rioters lay on the railway lines to prevent the train proceeding. They stoned the police, who fired, causing casualties. Unrest over land matters is spreading notably in the Raibarchi and Agra districts as a result of the agitation by Ghandi’s disciples, ostensibly to secure better treatment from the landlords. Extremist journals are fanning the flame and demanding a Government investigation, while the Zemindar class are being boycotted and allowed neither to buy nor sell.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
