INJURED AT WATERWORIJS. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Jan. 31. Robert F. Semple, aged 21, son of the ex-M.P. for Wellington South, sustained a compound fracture of tile right leg on Saturday through the overturnsi ing of a rock-laden truck at the Oron- | gorongo waterworks. He is progressing I favorably. | DEAD BODY INDENTIFIED. Auckland, Jan. 31. ! The dead body which waß found in the harbor has been identified as that of Samuel Woonton, gardener, aged 70. DEATHS BY DROWNING. Auckland, Jan. 31. Edward Francis Kevey, a tailor, 37 years of age and a resident of Otafiuhu. was drowned in the Tamatie River by the capsizing of a sailing boat. The deceased and five other occupants were thrown into the water, Two of the men supported the three ladies until rescued by a boat from the shore. Foxton, Jan. 31. The body of Alfred Hitchinson, whose clothes were found on the bank of the Manawatu River at Paiaka last Monday, was found on Friday. At the inJ quest a verdict was returned of found drowned. Deceased was a. single middb- / aged man and was a flaxmiTl employee.
