KING EDWARD MEMORIAL UNVEILED. By Telegraph.—Press Assn —Copyright Delhi, Jan. 29. The Duke of Connaught unveiled in the grounds of the Queen Victoria memorial at Calcutta a memorial to King Edward, erected by public subscriptions from the peoples of Bengal, Bihar and Orissa, consisting of a marble arch surmounted by a bronze equestrian statue. The balance of the large sum realised for the memorial will be used for medical relief in the two provinces. A great gathering listened to the Duke of Connaught’s glowing t tribute to our late King and Emperor.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
