WELLINGTON CHAMPIONSHIPS. SOME FINE PERFORMANCES. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. Rain considerably interfered with the success of the Wellington provincial amateur athletic meeting on Saturday. Splendid performances were put up by H. E. Wilson, who represented the Dominion at the' recent Olympiad, and C. H. Taylor, the Christchurch runner. Both showed good form. Wilson won the 100 yards in lOsec., the 120 hurdles in 15 2-ssec, and the long jump with 21 feet 7 Inches, all inside standard; and Taylor won the quarter-mile in "3sec., the half-mile in 2min. ssec., and the mile In 4min. 46sec. Munro (Wellington) put the shot 44 feet 0% inches, beating his own and the English amateur record. J. McHolm threw the hammer 127 feet 6 inches, 6 inches below his own record.
