Grace Darling makes ! her first appearance in the leading role, : and her thrilling experiences with the ; band of fanatics whose endeavor to , keep the sexes apart is s/ productive of j rouble arc tellingly shown. “The \ Rajah,” a Harold Lloyd-Bebe Daniels comedy, makes a fine half-hour’s cure for grouches. THE PEOPLE’S. OWEN’MOORE IN “A DESPERATE* HERO.” “The Desperate Hero” is a rollicking comedy-drama in which the hero, as played by Owen Moore, starts blithely out to the country in a small motor — his only possession—to escape a tailor creditor. As a result of his efforts to avert the tailor’s summons, he finds himself hound into servitude for his • two weeks to the husband of a former eetheart. A strange woman claims : ■ iiim for her husband, much to his dis- ; i gust, and a number of other incidents ; ■ occur to make him feel the heavy hand i :of misfortune. Ovfren Moore is at his : best in the role of Henry Baird—his work is delightfully natural and con--1 vincing anjl exceedingly well done in ■ ihe comedy parts.
