To-day, at 1.30, L. A. Nolan and Co are selling Nelson and Hawke’s Bay fruit. Okato residents are reminded that Fox’s special discount sale will positively close on February 1. The New Plymouth Motor Cycle Club have decided to hold their annual race meeting on Saturday, March 12. Prize money amounting to £l7O has been allotted to the eight events. A varied and interesting programme has been drawn up. At this meeting the N.Z. lightweight championship is to be decided, and should prove a great race, as there are many new and fast light-weight riders competing for this honor this year. The club offers a cash prize of £2O, together with a gold medal valued at £lO, for this events and for the New Plj'-mouth Handicap £4l is offered, with a prize of £5 for the fastest time in this 1 race. Every effort is being made to make i this meeting one of the best ever run in N«.w Zealand.
