THE RARAWA The Rarawa is expected to arrive from | Onehunga at 5.30 o’clock to-morrow morning. ! She will sail on the return trip at 8.20 p.m. CORINNA ARRIVES. The Corinna arrived from southern ports via Wellington at 6.30 o’clock last evening. After discharging about 1000 tons of general cargo here she will take in 20,000 boxes of butter for transhipment to th© Hororata at Wellington, and 12,000 boxes for the Arawa. She should be ready to sail abou|» Saturday. FLORA SAILS. The Flora sailed for Wellington at 11 p.m. on Tuesday night, taking 8000 crates of cheese and a quantity of general cargo. KAMONA BERTHS. The Kamona, which has been lying in the stream since'Monday morning awaiting accomodation, came alongside the wharf yesterday morning, taking the berth vacated by the Flora the night before, She has 1400 tons of cement to discharge here. KINI WITH COAL. The Kini will load coal for New Plymouth at Greymouth on Saturday. She should arrive here at the beginning of next week. WORK AT THE PORT. No work was done at the port yesterday on account of the watersiders annual picnic. The West Mahwah and Kamona are now berthed and ready to discharge, and the Corina also arrived last night from Wellington with 1000 tons of general cargo to put out here. Work will begin again as usual this morning. TAHITI DUE TO-DAY. The Union Company advise that the R.M.S. Tahiti is. due at Wellington at 6 p.m. today from San Francisco. SEALDA FROM CALCUTTA.

The Union Company, agents for the British India Company’s steamer Sealda. which arrived at Auckland on Tuesday from Calcutta, advise that the vessel was to leave Auckland last night for Wellington. She is due at Wellington on Saturday morning with part cargo to discharge. PORT VICTOR AT LONDON. Cable advice has been rceived by the C. and D. Line that the liner Port Victor arrived at London on January 23 from Wellington via Panama. The vessel left Wellington on December 11. THE CANADIAN HIGHLANDER. The Canadian Government steamer Canadian Highlander left Vancouver on January 14 cargo-laden for Sydney, Melbourne, Wellington and Auckland. The vessel is due at Wellington about March 14, and after discharging part cargo will load for Vancouver via Auckland. FIRE ON lONIC. Cable advice has been received by the Shaw, Savlll and Albion Company that their liner lonic, which i| rived at Colon on the 21st Inst, from Wellington, experienced an incipient fire in her No. 1 upper ’tween deck during the voyage. Practically no damage resulted, and the vessel sailed from Colon on the 23rd inst. in continuation of her voyage to Southampton and London. GROUNDING vF THE SUSSEX. News received by the last Australian mail concerning the grounding of the steamer Sussex recently at Colon (Panama) while on a vdyage from St. John to New Zealand and Australian ports, indicates that portion of the vessel’s cargo has been badly damaged. The No. 1 hold was completely flooded after the Sussex was stranded, and 1400 tons of damaged cargo had to be discharged. The vessel was refloated and taken to the dry dock at, Balboa for repairs. The Sussex is a steamer of 6939 tons, and was bound to Auckland, Wellington, Sydney, Melbourne, and Adelaide, via Panama. She left Bristol on December 5, and St. John on December 24.
