Stock at the various sales has come forward unore freely, and vendors generally are showing more inclination to meet market values. Prices have improved a shade all round. Quotations are as follow: Douglas, on January 17: Store cows £4 to £6 10s, better sorts £7 10s to £7 15s, forward do. £8 6s to £8 If , 15-month steers £3 15s, in-calf heifers £6 ss. Stony River on 18th inst.: —Store lambs 15s, forward do. 20s Bd, shorn wethers 225, store cows up to £7 15s, fat cows £8 2s 6d to £lO 10s, yearling steers £3, 15-montl? steers £3 16s to £4, yearling heifers £3 15s, empty heifers £7, springing heifers £8 to £8 10s, Jersey do. £l6, dairy cows £9 10s to £l5. Ohura on 20th inst.:—Two-tooth wethers 17s lOd, 4 to 6-tooth wethers 22s 2d, store cows £5 12s 6d to £6, 18-month steers £4 5s to £5 10s, 2%yr. do. £7 Ils to £7 17s, 3yr. bullocks £8 to £lO, 4yr heifers £lO 10s to £ll, 18-month heifers £4 9s to £6, in-calf heifers ,£5 17s 6d. Waiwakaiho on January 21: —Forward store cows £7 to £8 10s, yearling Jersey heifers £8 ss, empty ’ heifers £6 2s 6d, heifers in profit £l5 to £l6.
