The Labor executive adopted a resolution to the effect that, while it had no power to open Parliament or carry out its work, it had a right and a duty to inform the party what movement it expects of Cable Assn. LAND FOR IMMIGRANTS. Brisbane, Jan. 22. The Premier has submitted to the Federal authorities, with the object of securing Commonwealth support, a scheme for opening up 9,000,000 acres in central Queensland to immigrants and others, involving an outlay of £2,000,000. —Aus.-N.Z.
