MOTORS COLLIDE.
ACCIDENT AT STRATFORD. BOY SERIOUSLY INJURED a.—..n—i 'W (By Wire.—Own Correspondent.) Stratford, Last Night. A collision between a motor ear, driven by Miss M. Curtis, and a mail motor van, driven by Mr. A. White, occurred in Broadway Central about 7 o’clock on Saturday evening, and resulted in painful injuries being sustaine4...by Mr. White’s three-year-old son. Miss Curtis was turning her ear round in order to go southwards along Broadway when the collision took place, her "car being struck broadside on by the mail van, which was proceeding north. Mr. White had with him his wife and two children, and the elder of the children was thrown violently against ths windscreen, breaking the glass. The boy’s head and face were caught in the broken glass, from which he was hanging until released by his father. Mrs. White received a had cut on the cheek, but the baby and Mr. White were practically uninjured. Mrs. White had her injuries attended to at Mr. Young’s pharmacy, and the little hoy was taken to the hospital, where it was found that -an operation was necessary in order to remove the broken glass from his face. Both cheeks were severely cut. the right one being cut right through, and he also had several had cuts on the chin and forehead. Miss Curtis was uninjured, and her car had practically no damage done to it, but the mail van had the front axle broken and the two froift wheels damaged.
