BAKERS' CONFERENCE.
BENEFIT OF DAYLIGHT BAKING. By T&lezranh. —Press Association. Auckland, Jan. 20. The New Zealand Bakers’ Conference was opened to-day by the Mayor (Mr. J. IT. Gunson), who commended the question of daylight-baking to the conference, pointing out that this was a matter involving contentment of employees. Though the public might at first object to bread in a condition to which they were not used, yet it would probably be much better for their health if the change were forced on them.
The conference was not open to the Press.
