> DOMINION TOURNAMENT. PAIRS COMPETITION. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The Dominion bowling Association pairs’ competition was commenced today on various greens. There are a large number of entries, and close and interesting games are expected. Three eliminating rounds were played in the various sections, and the competitions will be continued to-morrow. NEW PLYMOUTH v. INGLEWOOD. Four rinks from the New Plymouth Club visited the Inglewood Club yesterday, and were hospitably entertained. The green was in good order and the play most enjoyable. Results (Inglewood mentioned first): —Simcock, Lealand, Cottier, Gudgeon 34; v. Copter, Morton, Moore, Firth 24. Luncy, Manby, Olson, Spurdie 32; v. Drake, Looney, Gill, Varcoe 21. Winter, Drake, Henry, ‘Wilson 27; v. Iveljohn, Crockell, Brookman, Plumtree 16. Geddis, Southcambe, Longbottom, Leslie 18; v. /Binnie, O’Carroll, Hill, Rolston 26. Total: Inglewood 111, Now Plymouth 87.
