MAGISTRATE’S COURT CASE. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Palmerston N., Jan*. 19. Tn the Magistrate’s Court William Makey, farmer, Rongotea, was convicted and ordered to come up for sentence if called upon on a charge of .attempting to commit suicide on January 'l2. William Snow was committed for trial on a charge of indecently assaulting a female child, on December 30. SCHOLARSHIP NAME RECTIFIED. Wellington, Jan. 19. Owing to a mistake in tWe Univers:t?’ list the wrong names were given for the Taranaki Scholars!’ips. Only one was awarded, the recipient being V iniirofl Downes, New Plymouth Girls High School.
