RINK CHAMPIONSHIP WON BY KARANGAHAKE. By Telegraph.—Press Association. ■Wellington, Last NightAt the Dominion bowling tournament the semi-final of the rink championship was played this morning between Jury (Karangahake) and McWhannel (Hataitai, Wellington). There was keen interest in the game. The green was rather heavy as a result of rain two days previously and growing grass. After the 13th head Jury drew away, and on the 20th was 24-10. The last head was not played. The play of neither team was quite up to standard. The final was played this afternoon between Jury (Karangahake) and Rennie (Christchurch). The former had two lives. In the first final Karangahake suffered defeat at the hands of the Christchurch players by 24-16, with one head to go. In the final game Karangahake reversed the verdict, scoring freely at many heads and running out the winners by 21-13, with one head to g°- \ The “come again” rink tournament was won by Island Bay (Dimock), who defeated Victoria (Norwood) 19-10. AVON v. MANAIA. Three rinks from the Club visited Stratford yesterday and met Avon Club in the morning and the Stratford Club in the afternoon. The match with Avon resulted in a win for Manaia by 12 points, the scores being 89 to 77. Following are the details of the scores, Avon names being mentioned first in each case:— Rogers, Jones, Thomson, Curteis (s.) 24 v. Hodder, Inn is, J. Christie, A. H. Christie (s.) 36. Sturm, McAllister, Jackson, R. Masters (s.) 29 v. Muli, Gee, Andrews, Franklyn (s.) 29. Whiteford, Judd, Morison, J. Masters (s.) 24 v. Badland, Hickey, McCarthy, Smith (s.) 24. MANAIA v. STRATFORD. The match between the Manaia Club and the Stratford Club resulted in a win for Manaia by three points, the scores being 71 to 68. The teams tied on the 25th head, and each rink played an extra head.
