WEBSTER—KERR. 9 The wedding of Miss Miran Kerr, only daughter of the late Mr. William Kerr, S.M., and Mrs. Kerr, qi New Plymouth, to Mr. Charles B. Webster, youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. W'. D. Webster, ot New Plymouth, took place in St. Mary’s Church, Now Plymouth, yesterday afternoon- The ceremony was performed by the Rev. F. G. Haiwic, and Mr. Renaud presided at the organ. The bride, who was given away by Air. 31. Fraser, wore a charming frock of Calaite lace in Paris shade over white georgette, the underskirt trimmed with gold tissue roses, and- the overskirt oi lace/finislied with gold tissue arranged with pailnier effect. The bodice was gracefully draped, .a toiich of colour being added by a spray \>f gold roses veiled in the lace on the cor. sage. She wore a wedding veil and orange blossoms, and, carried a sheaf of Caliiornian poppies. In attendance upon the bride was her cousin, Miss Nellie .Carruth, of Wlumgarei, who wore a frock of maize georgette embroidered in jade green, and a rich note of colour was struck by her belt and sash of jade green with pattern worked in gold and silver. Gold shoes and a large black bat with pleated tulle crown and trimmed with a wreath of gold roses and a bouquet of champagne and golden coloured roses with streamers of tulle, to match completed her picturesque toilette. The best man was Mr. H. W. Whitcombc. After the ceremony a reception was held at the residence of Mrs. Kerr, who received her guests in a frock of black .effeia and georgette and a black satin hat trimmed with a silver rose. Her bouquet was of shaded heliotrope/flowers. Mrs. IV. D. Webster, the bridegroom's mother, wore black glace silk and black and white bonnet and a real lace scarf which she wore as her bridal veil on her wedding day, and she carried a bouquet of heliotrope verbena and p : nk carnations. Airs. F. H. Robertson, the bridegroom’s sister, wore mole crepe-de-chino and sax?, blue hat and bouquet of hydrangeas. Miss Webster wore cornflour georgette and white hat, and her bouquet was composed of piilk carnations. Airs. Carruth, aunt of the bride, wore a tricotine costume of navy blue with harline stripe and black hat with touches of jade green, and carried a bouquet of shaded roses. Among those who were present at the church was M’r. Watson, grandmother of the bridegroom. The bride travelled in a navy blue gaberdine costume braided with* black m.'litary braid, the collar and buttonholes being piped with white. With this was worn a smart white georgette I blouse and small navy blue ribbon hat i finished <j>vith one large, gold pin and navy blue veil embroidered in gold Among the many presents received was a handsome silver tea service from the u-.embers of the Taranaki Jockey Club.
