EXPERTS SANGUINE London, Jan. 17. Leeds University experts, reporting on samples of wool collected in Peru, declare it to bo superior to Australian, Cape or Argentine wools. They prophesy that, if a scheme for the improvement of indigenous Peruvian sheep is reasonably successful, there is every likelihood that in ten years’ time Peru will provide the finest carding and combing wools. The principal types in Peru are indigenous merinos da-ting from the 16th century. The improved merinos will be based on the South American types and Romney Marshes. SALE AT DUNEDIN.
