•.ONDON'S SINN FEIN GANGS. SIX ARRESTS MADE SEQUEL TO FIRE PLOT. , By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyrights London, Jan. 17. Scotland Yard officers carried out an extensive raid in London on Sunday sight, and they detained six Sinn Feinars suspected in connection with the iVandsworth oil works plot. Received Jan. 18, 7.30 p.m. London, Jan. 17. One of the six men arrested ip connection with the Wandsworth arson outrage is believed to be the virtual leader of the Sinn Fein terrorist gang in London. The arrests were effected dramatically during the early hours of the morning at two places in SouthWest London. The police possess papers which they allege show that the men are associated with the movement of German delegates to attend an- executive meeting of tly Miners’ Internationale in London next week. The Germans represented to the Internationale -that they were tyorking overtime in direct opposition to the Washington Labor Convention’s decision, and that coal is being delivered to the Allies below the market price, with the result that France is glutted with coal, while Germany is in want of it. The situation is likely to be discussed when the Internationale assembles.—Aus. and N.Z. Cable Assn. *

A cable published on Monday morning said: ‘’Three constables frustrated, a carefully planned attempt to set fire to the Vacuum Oil Company’s depot at Wandsworth, in which there were 60.000 barrels containing 2j500 ; 000 gallons of oil. Three men were seen loitering at midnight on Friday in the vicinity of the depot, and when challenged they fired several shots with revolvers, but they did not injure the police. A dozen other men had scaled the wall of the depot by means of a rope ladder and these ran out on hearing shots. The police pursued them, but all escaped except Wilfred Kenny, a clerk, who was charged with attempted murder and arson. The police found in the depot a large quantity of cotton waste ready for setting alight, and oil was also leaking from a dozen barrels in which holes had been pierced. It is believed Sinn Fenners are responsible.”
