The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company wish to draw clients’ attention to their Tarata sale which they are holding in their Tarata saleyards on Friday, 21st, at 1 p.m. Full particulars of entries will be found on page 8 of this issue. The Melbourne, Ltd., wish to draw attention to three special lines which are particularly good value—viz., men’s grey denim trousers, 13/6; men’s linen collars, including the new square peak shape, 1/6; and boys’ tubular washing ties, 9d each. He says Ratana assiduously shuns European gaze and avoids being photographed. He desires to do his work as quietly as possible and keeps himself in the background. He receives approximately 100 letters a day, and employs a secretary and assistant secretary to answer them
