RAILWAY SERVICE.
NEW DEMANDS RECEIVED. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The Government, it is understood, has agreed to the appointment of a board to investigate the claims, made by the various branches of the railway service for increased wages qn account of alterations in the cost of living, which the men claim have taken place since the present wages schedule was determined. The board will be on similar lines to t;hose which previously conducted inquiries into the pay and conditions of the different branches of the service.
