FIRE AT PERTH. By Telegraph.—Press Assn—Copyright. Received Jan. 13, ll.fi p.m. Perth, Jan. 13. Fire destroyed the Economic Stores, one of the chief drapery businesses in Perth, and a chemist’s shop and an adjoining cafe were also severely damaged. At one time the fire threatened to destroy the whole block, which is in the heart of the city. The damage is estimated at £lOO,OOO LABOR AND POLITICS. . Received Jan. 13, 11.5 p.m. Sydney, Jan. 13. The executive of the Australian Labor Party has circularised all members. of the Parliamentary Labor Party, calling on them to attend a meeting of the executive and the Parliamentary Party to consider the inactivity of the Government in making appointments to the Upper House, the decision of the Government to prorogue Parliament for six months, and their failure to redeem their pre-election pledges jpade to abolish the loyalist labor bureau on the water front. Mr. Storey (the Premier) and fifteen members attended, but the Press was axcluded.—Ausy&Z. ,
