Asked how .victory Tilden told a Telegraph interviewer that he wandered around Auckland and discovered a green racquet. After that he knew everything was alright. Suspending explanation for the time being, Tilden puzzled the pressman, who besieged him for particulars of the, green racquet. He eventually explained that it was only inches long, a little New Zealand greenstone miniature, a charm mascot. Brookes, Patterson, O’Hara Wood and Heath have been selected to oppbse the Americans at Melbourne.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
