The opening sale at Inglewood for 1921 took place in the Farmers’ Co-op. yards on Wednesday, sth inst., with what was surely the smallest let of stock presented at these yards since the start. The holidays, though nominally passed, had not lost their influence, and all those who depend on the land for their livelihood were up to their necks, in work at this busiest season of the farmers’ year, so that such a small yarding was really no very great surprise or disappointment. As it was, the tone of the sale was fair. Small 18-months heifers sold for £5 ss,’ store cows from £5 J2s 6d to £B, young Jersey bulls made up to £lO, and springers from £9 to £l2 10s.
