NEW SHIPS.
DECREASE IN BUILDING. • By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received Jan. 11, 8 p.m. London, Jan. 11. Lloyds’ Register shows that merchant tonnage being built in the United Kingdom at the end of the year totals 3,708,916 tons, which is a decrease compared with the September tonnage. Vessels commenced last quarter total 139,000 tons below the average of the previous six quarters. —Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
