The Rarawa arrived from Onehunga yesterday with passengers and 130 tons of cargo, Including 76«*tons of sugar. She sailed again for the north at 8.20 p.m. It is announced that the Rarawa will ma’ e a trip to Wellington for her annual painting, leaving Onehunga on Wednesday, February 16 for New Plymouth, and leaving here on Thursday at noon for the Wellington slip. She will return on the Saturday via New Plymouth to Onehunga. CORINNA FROM SOUTH. The Corinna is to load at Dunedin at the end of this week fdr New Plymouth, via usual ports. She Is bringing a general cargo, and should arrive here during next week. NGAHERE SAILS. The Ns ahere completed discharging her cargo yesterday and sailed for Greymouth at 4.50 p.m. THE WANGARATTA. The Wangaratta, owing to stop-work meetings at Wellington, will not get away from there until to-day for New Plymouth. She is expected to arrive here to-morrow morning. KAIAPOI FOR NEW PLYMOUTH. Advice has been received by the local agents that the Kaiapoi is loading at Melbourne early in February for New Zealand ports, including New Plymouth. It is understood her cargo is general and grain. FLORA WITH CARGO. The Flora was to leave Onehunga yesterday afternoon for Wellington, where she is due on Thursday. The vessel will sail from Wellington on Saturday with general cargo for New Plymouth. , THE WEST MAHWAH. The General Steamship Corporation’s steamer West Mahwah arrived at Wellington yesterday from Napier, in continuation of her voyage from San Francisco. The West Mahwah is expected to leave Wellington on Friday for New Plymouth and Australia to complete discharge (says yesterday’s Wellington Times). THE CORNWALL. The Federal Line, agents for the Connwall, advise that the vessel, which is al present discharging New York cargo at Auckland, will leave the latter port on Saturday for Wellington. The vessel is due at Wellington next Monday. MANUKA FROM SYDNEY. The Union Company advise that their In-ter-State passenger steamer Manuka is to leave Sydney to-morrow for Wellington, where she Is due on Monday. N.Z. SHIPPING COMPANY’S NEW BOATS. The New Zealand Shipping Company’s new liner Hurunui, 14,000 tons, built by Pay’ton, Dixon, and Co., underwent her trials in No : vember. The Hurunui is not equipped with a refrigerator. During this year the New Zealand Shipping Company will have three more new boats ready for sea. They comprise the Tekoa and Turakina (being built by Hamilton and Co., Port Glasgow), and the Tongariro (Earl's Shipbuilding Co., East Coast). They will be about 12,500 tons deadweight each, and will have refrigerators. TO LEAVE LONDON. The New Zealand Shipping Company’s .London office expect to dispatch the following vessels from London for New Zealand-—Re-muera, March 3; Kaikoura, April 7; Ruahine, May 19; Rlmutaka, June 30. VESSELS FROM HAMPTON ROADS, U.S.A. The New Zealand Shipping Company advise that the steamer Antem left Hampton Roads, Virginia, U.S.A., on December 22 for Wellington, and the Willaston on December 28 for Lyttelton. Thiese vessels are to he followed by the Treglisson, Australia, Tredenham, Australin, and Erroll. All these boats are coming to the agency of the New Zealand Shipping Company. WAIOTAPU AT AUCKLAND. One of the new Union Company’s cargo steamers to visit New Zealand waters, the Waiotapu, arrived at. Auckland on Monday from New York. The Federal Line are acting as inward agents. They advise that the vessel is due at. Wellington about the 20th instant. The Waiotapu, formerly the German steamer Stolberg, was purchased along with foifr other steaimers, which were surrendered by Germany under the terms of the Peace Treaty, and is of 5886 tons. Her principal dimensions are as follow: —Length, 450 ft.; breadth, 58ft.; depth, 27ft. The Waiotapu is in command of Captain F. P. Evans, who took the relief ship to the Antarctic in Sir Ernest Shackleton’s first expedition. During the war Captain F. P. the other vessels recehtly purchased by the Union Company, are in charge of Captains William Paul and F. N. Newlove respectively. The Koranui will be used for the Australian trade.
