As a result of a collision which occurred between a motor-car and a mo-tor-cycle at the corner of Regan and Streets shortly before ■ one o’clock on Sunday afternoon, the rider of the motor-cycle, a young man named Arthur C. Thompson, 19 years of age, received severe injuries, necessitating his removal to the Public Hospital. , The car was being driven by Mr. C. A. Gray. Mr. Thompson sustained a fracture of the left leg above the ankle and a broken nose. After being attended to by Dr W. P. Gordon he was admitted to the Hospital. Mr. Thompson is a recent arrival from the Old Country and has been in New Zealand only a few months. Mr. T. G. Grubb has purchased from Mr. E. S. Cole, of Auckland, the premises in Broadway Central, with a frontage of seventy feet, which are at present occupied by himself, and also by Mr. J. H. Thompson and Mr. C. Ruscoe. Mr. Alber Zurcher, who was seriously injured by a premature explosion of a charge of gelignite at Toko on Friday, has not improved his condition since his admission to the District Hospital. Mr. H. Ansted, of the Public Works Department, Stratford, who has been; transferred to the Head Office at Wei-j lington, will leave on. Thursday morn- i ing to undertake his new duties. Mr. i Austed will be much missed in musical circles, as he is a keen member pf the Egmont Club orchestra, and has always been willing to assist other orchestras on all occasions when his service! have been asked for. Messrs. Henderson and Moore notify in this issue that they have dissolved partnership as from December 31, 1920, and that Mr. C. Moore will carry on the building and joinery business, and wishes to notify clients that all contracts entered into in the late partnership will be finished in the usual firstclass manner, and joinery and repair work will be well carried out, as in the past.
