WEDDING.

BERTRAND—SIMPSON. The marriage took place in St. Paul’s Pro-Cathedral on Wednesday of Miss K. M. B. Simpson, of Wellington, to Mr. George F. Bertrand, late lieutenant in the N.Z.E.F., and now of- New Plymouth (The Dominion reports) The ceremony was performed by the Ven Archdeacon Johnson. The bride wore a cream costume and hat to match, trimmed with colored fruit, and carried a bouquet of lilies, sweet jieas, and carnations. Miss Lily Garland, »the bridesmaid, was iij a grey costume with a grey and flamecolored hat, and her bouquet was of shaded sweet peas. The best man was Mr. Athol Mclsaac, of New Plymouth (formerly captain in the N.Z.E.F.) Mrs Simpson, the bride’s mother, wore a gown of heavy satin and hat to match. After the ceremony a reception was held at “Pendennis,” Thorndon, during the course of which Miss Phyllis Massey and Mr Blockton sang.
