LADY CHAMPION AT AUCKLAND. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, Last Night. At the swimming carnival, Miss Ethelda Bleibtrey, the American Olympic champion, won the 300 metres and 50 yards invitation races, Miss V. Waldron being second in the former and Miss P. Hol ft second in the latter. E. V. Cunnold, a lad of fifteen years, won the 880 yards Auckland champion-' ship in 12 minutes 2 seconds, lowering the Dominion record by 15 1-5 secs. He also won the 100 yards intermediate local championship in 64 secs—another New Zealand record. At the tepid baths, MissAebtrey was beaten by Miss Edna WalrJnd in a diving competition. L. Kronfeld won the 220 yards Auckland championship in 2min. 35 3-ssec., which is -2 2-saee. faster than the New Zealand record.
