RIVAL GREEK FACTIONS.
SCENE IN LONDON CHURCH. London, Dec. 20. An advertisement appeared in the London press on Saturday, announcing the instructions of the Greek Prime Minister for the singing of a “Te Deum” in the Greek Church in London on December 19. The Greek Consulate has also been ordered to fly a flag thrice daily in celebration of Constantine's return, starting from yesterday. Hitherto no flags have been. displayed from either church or Consulate. The Greek ConsulGeneral, who has resigned, refuses to give up the only flag available.
Venizelists and Monarchists met at the Bayswater Greek Church on Sunday, and caused a lively scene over the announcement that a Te Deum was to be sung. The Venizelists rose and excitedly protested- In the midst of fiery clamor the congregation streamed out of the church in the drizzling rain. Outside there was much excited haranguing in Greek and English, the speakers condemning and exalting Venizelos and Constantine. Booing, hissing, and singing together different patriotic songs, they made a remarkable demonstration, while 12 stolid English policemen looked on unmoved.
