Resolutions were passed aa follows: Condemning undue employment of school children before and after school hours. Urging the Minister to give official recognition to sport, setting aside one hour weekly solely for school gamee. Favoring the appointment of wonjen Supervisors of domestic science manual training dasses. That teachers who have been on active service be jjiven accumulated leave to bring them to equality with other branches of the civil service. 5 That a committee be set up to Te« port to the executive on the question of the undermining of the national system by private schools. A vote of thanks was passed to the) Hon. C. J. Parr for his work as Minister of Education. The following officers were elected:—» President, Mr. J. E. Purchae (Christchurch), vice-president, Mr. D, W. Low (Manawatu); treasurer, Mr. A. Erskine (Wellington); executive, Mass J. A. Findlayson, Messrs. C. N. Haslam, J. C. VVebb, G. R. Kidson; non-official members of the executive, Messrs. F. A. Garry, F. L. Combs, N. H. S. Law, W. H. Newton, H. F. Penlington. It was decided that the conference next year be held in Wellington.-
