BANNER MATCH AT MANAIA. A banner match was played on the between Auroa and Manaia, and result* Manaia bowling green on Wednesday ed in a w r in for Manaia by 24 points. The following are the scores, Manaia being mentioned first: McCarthy, R Putt, T. Hotter, J. Christie 33; Kilpatrick, Brown, Barlow, Johnstone 19. Smith, Badland, Armitage, A. H. Christie 25; McCarty, Hornby, Castle' Bradford 15. * Totals: Manaia 58, Auroa 34. STRATFORD CLUB. Messrs. W. H. H. Young, T. J. Salmon, J. S. Lyons and P. Skoglund (s.) will represent the Stratford Club at jthe Dominion Bowling Tournament, wl'iich commences at Wellington on Monday. They will leave for Wellington by the mail train to-day. At the tournament held in Christchurch last year, the club was represented by Messrs. Lyons, Skoglund, McMillan and Sharp (s.), who reached third place in the rinks competition, while Sharp and A. K. Smart reached seepnd place in the pairs. This year the rink is not so strong, and it is not expected that the chib will do so well. Messrs. Lyons and Skoglund will also represent the club in the pairs competition, and should give a good account of themselves.
