MW SOUTH WALES DEBT. Sydney, Jan- 4. The public debt of New South Wales totals £175,000,'000, averaging £B2 per head. QUEENSLAND FINANCE. Brisbane, Jan. 4. The revenue for the half-year was £5,500,01X1, compared with £4,500,000 for the corresponding half of 1919. The expenditure was £6,000,000, an increase of £797,000 over that of the corresponding period. A GLUT OF TONNAGE. Sydney, Jan. 4. A review of the year’s shipping discloses that the shortage of tonnage has been converted into a glut. Shipowners are 'begging shippers for cargo instead iof the latter seeking space.
