A farmer in the Waimate district had a stroke of ill fortune one day last week (says the Timaru Herald). He was working a three-horse team in the field, and at dinner-time unyoked and took the horses to their stall, and while tying it up left the others standing at the stable door. On going out for them he found them both dead, they having been struck by lightning when he was in the stable. The horses were valuable ones. Create an atmosphere of Nazol about you, so that you constantly inhale it — about 10 drops on the chest of the pyjama jacket at night or on the singlet in the morning protects you against infectious fferms.
