Whangaratta, from Sydney, this month. West Mahwah, from 'Frisco, tliis month. TAMON MARU SAILS. The Japanese steamer Tamon Maru No. 6, which tas been in port since Dec. 8, discharging superphosphaitas, completed discharging and pulled out into the* stream at 8 a.m. on Saturday to await cabled instructions. Up till 5 o’clock in the evening, however, no cable had arrived, and the vessel sailed for Newcastle. THE FLORA TO DISCHARGE. The Flora has been in port over the New Year holidays with 850 tons of general cargo, but no work has yet been done on her. Work will probably start again to-morrow morning. * THE RARAWA. The Rarawa is expected to arrive from Onehunga at 5.30 to-morrow morning with passengers and cargo. She will sail on the return trip at 8.20 p.m. DECLINE IN STEAMER VALUES. A cable from London says that Turner, Davidson Company’s Review of shipping mentions an extraordinary decline in the value of steamers. At the beginning of 1920 the price of new steamers of from 4000 to 7000 tons was £4O to £5O per ton dead-weight, and they are now purchasable for less than half. One new 4000-tonner was withdrawn from auction, the best bid being 170 s a ton. SHIPPING TELEGRAMS. Wanganui, Dee. 31.—Louie Thletalt (12 noon), from Sydney.
